Welcome to CosmicDistortion my name is Michael Gordon and I’ve been studying website design for the past year and before that I spent about 2 years dabbling in website/graphic design in my spare time. This website is a portfolio demonstrating my Graphic Design & Website design skills, it also serves as a testing ground for new ideas and experiments.
I will be studying programming in 2009 and will be incorporating what I learn from this course into this website, and will be working towards developing a complete content managements system.
Artworks
The artworks and graphics featured on this website have all been created using Photoshop, Illustrator & GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), the photographic elements of these images and all photographs featured on this website were all shot by myself using a Canon EOS 350D with a 18-55mm lens.
Future Projects
3D: I have been delving into the third dimension in recent times using Blender a powerful open source 3D creation suite, in time I’m hoping to incorporate some 3D art into my designs.
Programming: I will be working on a database project called Axis which is an open source alternative to MS Access and is written mostly in Perl. For more information on Axis visit the website http://entropy.homelinux.org
